As of April 1, 2013, Nissan Forklift Corp. North America and TCM America merged their operations under the new name, UniCarriers Americas Corporation. Nissan Forklift Corp. (previously operated under the parent company, Nissan Motor Co. Ltd.) and TCM America (previously operated under the parent company, Hitachi Construction Machinery Co. Ltd.) join forces in order to gain a stronger presence in the global forklift market. UniCarriers Americas Corporation plans to offer a wider range of products and services to build a larger portfolio. Brands that will be sold under UniCarriers are: Nissan Forklift, TCM, Barrett, Atlet, and UniCarriers. Each of these brands will display a “by UniCarriers” endorsement by the beginning of June.
According to the Weltrangliste 2011/2012 list of the top global manufacturers, UniCarriers Americas Corporation will now rank as the world’s 7th largest forklift manufacturer. Changes have been made to www.nissanforklift.com to accommodate UniCarriers company information, available products, and technical services.
